Snezhnaya: Genshin Impact Dev Preview April 24
HoYoverse has officially confirmed that Snezhnaya will be the next major region in Genshin Impact, with a behind-the-scenes developer preview scheduled for April 24, 2026 at 8:00 AM UTC-4. The announcement was made across the game’s official social media channels, marking the first time the Cryo Nation will receive an official preview. While Nod-Krai served as a preliminary detour under Snezhnaya’s influence, Version 6.6 wrapped up the Song of the Welkin Moon storyline and introduced Lunar Reactions, setting the stage for the next chapter.

Snezhnaya’s first map expansion is slated for Version 7.0, but the exact release date depends on whether the Nod-Krai patch cycle includes a Version 6.8. If Version 6.7 is the final Nod-Krai update, players can expect Snezhnaya to arrive on August 12, 2026. However, if HoYoverse releases a Version 6.8, the Cryo Nation would open on September 23, 2026. The decision to skip Version 6.8 would prevent two anniversary events from falling within Snezhnaya’s patch cycle, a scheduling move that could future-proof subsequent regions. Rumors also suggest that Version 6.7 may feature Sandrone as the sole new character, which would still bring Nod-Krai’s total to the expected 17 characters per region when counting the Manekins from Miliastra Wonderland.

Brawl Stars Update: Brawlers Sam and Gus, PvE Mode
After a summer break, Supercell has released a new Brawl Talk episode detailing the next Brawl Stars update. The update introduces two new Brawlers, a fresh PvE mode, and several skins, with staggered release dates throughout September.
New Brawlers: Sam and Gus
Sam, a member of Belle’s trio, brings a unique playstyle centered around his Knuckle Busters. While equipped, his close-range attacks hit multiple enemies with increased power. When he has the Knuckle Busters, his Super bar is full at the start of the match, making him the first Brawler to spawn with a ready Super. His Super throws the Knuckle Busters outward, damaging enemies in their path, and using it again recalls them, dealing damage on the return.
Gus, described as a pajama-clad support Brawler, builds a bar with each attack. When the bar fills, he drops a ghost at the location of his next attack; Gus or allies can collect it to heal. He can leave multiple ghosts on the battlefield. His Super grants a shield to himself or an ally. Gus will release later in September, while Sam arrives with the next update.

Skins and Customization
The update brings several new skins. The Brawl Pass features Caesar Sam as the final tier and Desperado Poco as the first tier. Lawless Lola is the Power League skin. Crowbone and Stonks Pam are available for Gems. Moonbunny Squeak celebrates the Moon Festival in Asia. Trick or Treat Leon is a Halloween skin. Premium Mecha Mortis costs 299 Gems and includes custom voiceovers and visual effects. Players who purchase Mecha Mortis during its release month receive a free spray, profile picture, and pin set. Additional Halloween skins are planned for a later update.
